Toddies are named for the toddy drink in India, created from a toddy palm, then carried to Scotland by the East Indian company as a hot whiskey drink of water, honey, herbs, and spices.
Size/type: 1.5oz spices - brews up to 1 gallon Ingredients: Cinnamon sticks, hibiscus petals, ginger, all spice Shelf life: 3 years For 4 servings: - Boil 4 cups of water
- Add 1 tablespoon of spice blend and cinnamon sticks (to taste) to muslin bag
- Steep 10-15 minutes then add honey to taste - Refrigerate overnight or add ice to cool - Pour in tumblers filled with ice, add up to 2 oz of your favorite summer alcohol (dark rum, tequila, vodka or gin) to each glass.
