Description
Toddies are named for the toddy drink in India, created from the toddy palm, then carried to Scotland by the east Indian company as a hot whiskey drink of water, honey, herbs, and spices. Oliver Pluff's summer toddies bring those spices to cool and refresh you on the warmest days! Size/type: 3 oz spices - brews up to 3 gallons Ingredients: Cinnamon sticks, black tea, ginger, lemon peel, cloves, bergamot Shelf life: 3 years For 8 servings: - Boil 4 cups of water
- Add 2-3 tablespoon of spice blend and cinnamon sticks (to taste) to muslin bag
- Steep 8-10 minutes
- Add honey to taste
- Add 4 cups cold water. - Refrigerate overnight or add ice to cool. - Pour in tumblers filled with ice, stir in 2 oz of rye whiskey to each glass add a splash of orange bitters. Garnish with orange. Hand blended and packaged by Oliver Pluff & Co. In Charleston, South Carolina
